Digiscoping

Some digiscoper decided to go out together on a short trip so see what we can get. I have to say we did not do very well but we did get some stuff to take back home. Some of the bird we try our luck was such as this in a distance of the Banded Kingfisher
Some other such as this Yellow Breasted Flowerpecker
and the Malayan Hawk Cuckoo

Brown Boobook / Brown Hawk Owl

Brown Hawk Owl call is probably one of the easiest to imitate among the other owl. I manage to get its intention by imitating its call. Still it took our team a while to identified its subspecies. Knowing this is not the northern it make life easier but between scutulata and burmanica it took us a while. We finally conclude it was the nominate species. Have a look with the picture below.

This woodpecker was also said to be common in some island which indeed in later year know to be misidentified. No matter what once their difference is learn you tend to be able to tell them easily.
