A species very common in places like PJ ss2,4,5 and also places like putrajaya and paya indah. At time you can even see them at day time. However the white on the throat as the picture below is not all the time visible. also the contact call was observed this time.

Oriental Darter

It been a long long time since i posted something in a series. This time around i have a few photo to do so. With a very good reason. Being tip off that Oriental Darter was seen nearby i decided in the first place to give it a miss. This was until another friend of mine who invited me to join him to look for this bird. It was his lifer. Me however apart of seeing this species many times in Sabah i have also seen the popular pair in Penang  too.

This species was at least believe to be commoner well sometime before at least 8 observed in sungai perak. Here today 3 was observed as you can see in one of the picture. We ended up taking so many shot in which i have over 400 shot of this species in about an hour plus or at least that particular time i believe.

The only other bird for today trip. What a slow day. A Greater Racket Tailed Drongo. But there was also a Crow Billed Drongo around.

Green-Backed Flycatcher

Don't ask me why i took all the trouble hiking up this location going through some trail and end up in this area with poor photographic opportunity. In fact I have no idea why i do so knowing photographic challenges in this area can be great. A small reward for this effort. Poor like i say this shot was already 1/30 at ISO 1000 flash fill in order to frezze the shot a bit. Not the best but only 2 shot of this species. The Green Backed Flycatcher previously similar or subspecies to the Narcissus Flycatcher.

Asian Brown one of the three flycatcher we observed today. The other two the dark sided and grey breasted flycatcher but we failed to obtain any picture of it. Well this is the second i photograph this month.

Asian Fairy Bluebird

I was only given a tiny little window on a very high perch of this female Asian Fairy Bluebird. I do amid that with challenging light condition and tiny window with many branches, focusing to the bird is a huge disadvantage. though I didn't get what I come for but this beauty make up for some of the lost i got today. Still other species such as the Dark Sided Flycatcher, Asian Brown Flycatcher and Grey Chested Jungle Flycatcher were observed. ALSO A FEW VERY DISAPPOINTING FRUITING TREE.

The commonest Sparrow in the country. The Eurasian Tree Sparrow can be always observed in different ranking in a group. This maybe a lieutenant.

Zebra Dove

Walking round this site I try to take as many photograph i can of wildlife. The Peaceful Dove is a peaceful bird when you are not trying to photograph them. When you try for one they tend to move a lot. A small group was observed on the ground and this male decided to look back on what i was doing.

White Breasted Waterhen

We are all so used to this species seeing them so many time that I even forgotten that I never have a photo of the southern peninsula race. This is the first time I photograph the southern Peninsula Malaysia Race. Definitely a photographic lifer in term of race.

Common Myna

Common is their name but not what represent them. This days i really find them less common compared to those days. Infact there is more Javan Myna then Common Myna and at times i miss it for 2 week. So nvm get a few shot before you get even harder to find.

Jungle Myna

This is probably one of the few site in Selangor that I tend to get them often. A small group around but was way out numbered by Javan Myna.

Brahminy Kite

I was tempted to use the road behind my house before heading home. Well we finally saw a raptor stoop in for a prey and soon realise it was a Brahminy Kite. Then later on it pass the prey to its mate. What a day behind my house. Next trip im going to look for the nest.

Black-Thighed Falconet

The smallest raptor in the world. However the most interesting this here was this photo was also taken from my house hall. Technically from inside the house.
